yesterday was the first time that i had to fire someone, he was a sales executive from the sales team..a good person.but a lil wayward..and they were good enough reasons for me to take that action i believ...but thats besides the point...
it was the first time i was firing anyone...and trust me..it really took some effort to walk by without paying attention to the executives pleading face...the entire evening i was feeling weird..n a lil doubtfull whether it was the right decision or not...but then my team has supported me so far..n i think the feeling has started to subside....
i hope i dont ve to fire people often...
hope you all are having a good time..n enjoying yourself...
tc...cheers!!

I 've had to fire people before. Only one I had no problem doing. he deserved it.
he said to another worker he would not do anything I asked of him (afterall I was a girl and young too) in Spanish and he called me rude names too, thinking I didn't know Spanish. I called down stairs and said...get his check ready...he's gone. I had the secretary fill out the forms etc etc...the usual legal shit.
I fired him and explained why...he sat there open mouthed, befuddled...He asked who told on him...I told him I understood all of it.
Ciao.
hmmm, i hope u even out morrow may be u can just smile at him which will comfort u as well as him....
I dont think firing is a good job to do. thats a complete loss of confidence for pooor guuy and loss of self worth....you can always put the person on task for things he does wrong.
u cud hv given him a chance or 2 and monitored him and then if saw no choice, cud hv passed buck to next maanager...why u take the bad word for it......
thats my opinion though, u wont agree...but here u got not to be like romans in rome......
firing is worst thing to do and that s a blot on the management of the person who failed to set the expectations correct and failed to motivate the fired person.......
think abt it
@radhika..lol..yep...its almost a done thing now...no more feelings abt it
@spiky...well u ve seen alot more in life than i have...and i didnt knw u knew spanish...amazing... :)..
@anvita....i have moved onto another stint...so i dont have to see him now :)
@ashu

well he had been on that profile like 1 n half yrs..senior most sales exec...sometimes we have to do small not so good things for the larger good :)

this was his 3rd episode of behaviour not acceptable at work place...n i had to take the decision...

i had to do what the right thing was...

if that was so...nobody would ever get fired...sometimes it is more to do than just the manager or the management...
think abt it
thot abt it enuf :)
neways ur perspective....keep safe n take care....
clear stay from him
