howdy all again??

yo people...how r u all??i ve been really really really busy with work..travelling..running after numbers..the sales are not as good as expected but they are improving...so there's still a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel..

anyways...i went to Amritsar with my family last weekend to visit the Golden Temple...n it was an amazing trip..my grandma went with us this time it was almost after 40 odd years that she was visiting the Golden Temple.

The Golden temple is one of the most amazing places of worship for the Sikhs and attracts alot of people from all kinds of faiths...n trust me it is one of the most serene places to be at even though it is jam packed with worshippers most of the time... i had one of my meals there at the community meals complex...and according to the facts..almost a hundred thousand people would be eating there on a daily basis..amazing amount of community services goes into that...n the meal is simply amazing... I also took a dip in the holy water pond that surrounds the Golden Temple and it was so refreshing...

If you guys havent been to the Golden Temple..then u must come here sometime...

By the way i will catch up on your blogs soon...and here is a pic of the Golden Temple..

dilli rocks!!

Wanted to write something last saturday and thought about putting up a post that night, but my thought process was interrupted by the Serial blasts that rocked Delhi that evening... At 6.30pm me and my entire family was glued to the TV watching horrific images of the blasts that ripped across 5 places in New Delhi..there was blood on the streets, injured people, dead bodies on the streets of Delhi being beamed on TV channels all across the country...

The one thing that moved all of us was the amazing solidarity shown by the people of this city when it came to managing the situation. The security agencies took control swiftly, the injured were moved to the hospitals as fast they could be, all the important markets in New Delhi were evacuated and search for more bombs began..Soon 5 more live bombs were diffused in and around Connaught Place. The NSG (the elitest force in the country) took over and defused the bombs, collected the forensic samples from the bomb sites for further analysis.

I had booked tickets to go for an 11.30pm show with my friends but had to cancel because of the security situation, hopefully i will go this week sometime...

The next day morning, New Delhi was back to normal, everyone was out on the street, the markets where the blasts had occured had opened shops again, everyone was standing shoulder to shoulder, ready to face yet another day and not to bend to the threat of terror.

Dilli dilwalon ki...Tujhe salaam

Teachers day crushes..

Tomorrow is teachers day in India...a day on which we salute and honour all our teachers/professors who have made added some value to our lives in howsoever big or small way...

On this day we honour our Lt President Radhakrishnan, who was a teacher before he went onto become the president of India.

But other than just honouring our teachers/professors on this day...i would like to ask you if any of you had any crushes on your school teachers/professors.... I had my share of them in school...and to just name a few

1) Civics teacher (social sciences)...awesomely hot..sultry..and the way she carried herself, Sushmita Sen would have felt an inferiority complex..When she walked the corridor, the smell of her perfume lasted for like 15mins....

2) My english teacher...oh man...had never seen anyone carry the saree off better than her... It was simply awesome...

3) Computer Sc teacher..well she didnt teach me...but she was a sight to see in the computer lab..

Never had any crushes during my engg/mba as there werent any crush worthy teachers there..

So lets get to know your crushes...

The bench..

Farhan, Jay, Raghav and Ranveer were sitting in his room, watching Friends on the computer. It was the final year of engineering and neither of them had gone to college that day. Farhan, Jay and Ranveer were in the same engineering branch in college and Raghav was from differnet branch. It was around 4pm and Farhan said he was hungry, he looked out of the window and the shop outside hadnt opened and he mumbled to himself "eggs and bread have to wait for another half n hour more...damn it"...and they all got back to watching Friends...

As the episode was about to finish, it was nearing 4.30 and the shop was about to open, Jay said to Farhan, "arre Farhan miyan, hang on...have patience..it will open up..then you can hog on all you want"..Raghav and Ranveer were laughing at the sight of Farhan struggling to control his hunger...

At 4.45 the sound of the shop shutters opening came like music to Farhan, it was like Bitter sweet symphony to his ears and he dashed out of the room to buy some eggs and bread...Raghav, Jay and Ranveer all went hysterical at his speed of running out...5 minutes later Farhan came back running in and shouted.."Ranveer..that first year girl..is coming..arre the same girl...the sardarni...you have a crush on", Ranveer retorts back.."oye i dont have any crush on her...just that she is kinda cute"...and then Jay jumps in.."Ranveer dont lie...we know you have a crush on her"...and Ranveer keeps denying it...

"You should go talk to her"..say Farhan, "she will take 5 minutes to get here...go and talk to her..she is walking back to her flat alone...".

"Yes Ranveer go dude, go..be a man...go talk to her"..jump in Raghav and Jay in a chorus...Ranveer was now cornered with nothing else to do but to go out and talk to her..."Damn it, why does this happen to me...what will i talk to her about...i will end up making a fool out of myself".

"Arre nothing will happen...just go and talk to her"...says Farhan. "You are a big flirt, Farhan...I am not...it is not that easy for me to go and just talk to some girl out there"..."You will learn my boy..just go" and Ranveer is kicked out of the room..on to the street...

Ranveer sees her walking toward the room..and he starts walking towards her..Farhan, Jay and Raghav are hiding behind the curtain of the window outside Ranveer's room and looking at the scene that is going to develop. Ranveer and the girl meet exactly outside Ranveer's room where there is a stone bench on the street, "Hi, how are you, i am Ranveer, we are in the same college". The girl taken aback replies " Oh hi, I am Simran(as if Ranveer didnt know) ".

Ranveer(with all the thoughts going on in his head) blurts.."So you are in first year right?", Simran just nods. " I am in final year IT". "Ok", says Simran. Ranveer(thinking to himself what should i say next)..."So are you liking the college?".."Yes it is fine, anyways i have to go my roommate must be waiting", says Simran. " Oh ok..no probs...see ya around" says Ranveer and they both walk off...

Once she is out of sight, Ranveer runs back to the room to see all his 3 friends going hysterical, laughing their guts out , Farhan had even forgotten about his hunger...and then Ranveer also started laughing...They all laughed for the next 10minutes..lost in the moment of foolishness and how stupid and funny things can be...

"Boy, you have made me proud" says Farhan, "Ya Ya... I knw you jerk...you guys had fun at my expense"..says Ranveer..."lol..we are going to remember this incident by that very bench, man..this is where you went out and spoke to that girl" says Farhan..." lol..you all are such assholes" says Ranveer and they all start laughing...

flirting types

Been a long time...have been travelling alot over the last week...Delhi - Chandigarh- Shimla- Delhi - Shimla- Delhi....all in a weeks time..and the travelling is gonna increase more next week...since i have to start visiting the towns in Haryana..

anyways i had done this post before too..but not with the same result...so doing it just for the heck of it...

WHAT TYPE OF A FLIRT R U

The Romantic Flirt

Being the romantic flirt you love to be in love. The feeling of being in love is intoxicating for you and you are generally just a bit disappointed when this feeling inevitably wears off in a relationship and moves onto a more relaxed stage when you get to know someone better. You are a sensual flirt and you make others feel very special. You give your whole and you expect it back, however sadly this does not always happen and you don't receive the consideration and compassion that you show others. Also you're a touchy feely person and when you flirt you do this naturally. If you are too touchy feely it can appear to others that you come on too strong too soon which can be a turn off. You may need to use some conscious self-control in this area until you know them better.

Not that i believe in all this...but then lets see ur take on it...lemme know what type of a flirt r u :) :)

Some pics of Shimla...

Singh is Kinng!! Ver 2.0

Singh is Kinng!!!! I saw the movie last saturday with my family...n i had a good time..though the movie doesnt have a story..but still it is a complete entertainer....Katrina looks awesome..n i mean...the word awesome needs to be redefined for her : ) :)...Akshay Kumar looks amazing in the proper turban he is shown wearing mostly in the songs...after Sunny Deol...he is probably the only to look good with a turban on screen!!

Now coming back to the thought behind the post...and this is directly for the women out there...

"How many of you would be willing to be asked out/go on a date/be in a relationship with a turbaned Sikh guy??" (and not Akshay :D :D )

I am asking this because till a few years back, a huge numbers of girls werent willing too due to n number of reasons...I just want to see if the trend has changed over a period of say 4 odd years or not?

Well i have edited this post (i never wanted to put all these up..but then somehow i thought the point i was trying to make wasnt getting across)..and added some stuff here....and im gonna tell some of the conversations i have had with girls over relationships with girls..

girl 1: i dont knw, but its really difficult to imagine being intimate with so much facial hair..
me (thinking):no comments...

girl 2: surdy's look older for their age..

girl 2: u knw i ld to love run my hands in the guys hair...n thts not possible with a surd...

These are some of the statements i have heard from girls over not wanting to be in a relationship with a surdy guy...

P.S Guys u can comment on the movie..lol...or anything else u ld like to comment on :D :D :D

cheers!!

the social networking fad..

I was reading this newspaper article in the HT today about Facebook being the new gossip manager for people...

With all the 3rd party applications that are available on Facebook one can actually gossip without actually talking about it...FB (Facebook= FB) itself highlights whatever is going on in the other person's life...who all he/she added..what is his/her relationship status etc...who all added new pics et al...

There were some comments by FB users as well..which were like..." i can use this to spy on my ex bf"...."i take my camera at all my parties and i am so gonna put up the pics on FB"...and they went on and on.....

Well i am myself a user of FB and Orkut...and i too use them for my networking...more often than not for staying in touch with friends from my school...college...previous work place...MBA school..current work place...and some blogger friends...but then do i use any of these as gossip monger?? I prefer to use orkut over FB because it is so much easier to scrap and just say what you want to say....FB is just so tiresome..so many applications...install this..install that..and the browser goes for a toss....

Like all new tools..FB too has its honeymoon period going on..like orkut did an year back or so...and soon the craze would fade away..and a new social networking tool would emerge...the evolution continues..Yahoo messenger > Msn Messenger > Orkut > Facebook > .......

cheers!!...

I also met about 10 of my school friends last sunday at Priyas...and it was a nice get together afte a long long time...some of my friends are going to US for their higher studies...so it was nice to sit..talk..n gossip about what all has been going on in our lives for the last few yrs...

the trust vote

Tomorrow the Govt of India faces a trust vote in the parliament for going ahead with the nuclear deal with the US....

For those of you who arent aware of what a trust vote is..it means the govt has to prove a 50% + majority in the Parliament to stay in power or India heads for another round of elections soon....

I was watching TV on sunday and the news channels were all abuzz with the 123 agreements, the IAEA safeguards draft agreement, the Hyde Act etc....and then they went on to interview the youth of the nation to hear their views on the nuclear deal and related stuff...

so the news channel reporter went to all these hip n happening places to meet with these cool looking dudes and dudettes and asked them....

Reporter : Are you aware of the nuclear deal...
Cool dude (wearing shades): What nuclear deal??? (The reporter should ve slapped him there)

Reporter : What is the NPT...
Cool dudette: Nuclear...no...Non..proli....profoli.....whats the word?? (No comments)...

Reporter : Do you know what the Hyde Act is??
Group of girls: NO...we dont read newspaper...

Reporter: Are you aware of IAEA??
Cool Dude: No...what is it???

Reporter: Do you know what the 123 agreement is??
Cool Dude 3: thinks for 5mins...stares here n there...we supply uranium....(no comments again)...

cheers to the enlightened youth of this country!!!!

It’s all in the SMS

As published in all leading dailies in India...

Txt appeal: It’s all in the SMS

London: Here’s a little tip for men: It’s not your chat up lines that will make the ladies flock to your side, but your texting prowess. According to a new poll, men whose texts are both witty and wise are the one most likely to get the thumbs up from those lovely ladies. And if you think that this is all hogwash, well then you better think again for as it turns out, more than three in four women are likely to judge a man character simply by the way he sends his text messages.
This in turn, is due to the fact that almost nine in 10 girls prefer to swap texts than talk on the phone after exchanging numbers with men they’re interested in, reports the Daily Star.
Researchers have identified four different styles of texting, from the slightly raunchy “Russell Brand”, and the gushing “Words-Worth”, to the short and sweet “Bond”, and the childish “Symbol Simon”. Three out of four women said the style their suitor adopted when communicating by text would play an important role in determining how they saw him.
Just over a third men, 34%, said they opted for the “Russell Brand”, sending witty, medium-length texts with a flirtatious use of innuendo.
Two thirds of women, 68%, said they would respond best to this style, provided it did not stray from flirty to dirty, which would turn 23% of them off.
A quarter of men opted instead for the ‘Bond’ — short, sweet and to the point, with no emotional giveaways. More than half of women, 56%, said they were neither shaken or stirred by this style, judging the man behind them to be unimaginative or lacking in personality.
Almost one in five men, 19%, went for the “Symbol Simon”, although 63% of women dismissed the use of abbreviated text language such as CU L8R as “childish” and “silly”. One third of them opted instead for the romantic “Words-Worth”, the overtly-romantic, lyrical style used by around 20% of men. On the other hand, 58% of women would see the man behind these texts as “desperate” or “needy”.

If the manmade spelling or grammatical errors in his text message, regardless of style, he would be chalked up as either lazy or less intelligent by 41% of women. Females, on the other hand, labour over their missives. More than three quarters, 76%, said they spent 15 minutes or more on a text and 38% said they would run it past their female friends before sending it.

The women taking part in the survey also confirmed what many men have long suspected: 63% deliberately delayed their response to a text for up to two hours in a bid not to appear needy.

William Ostrom of enquiry service 118118, which carried out the poll, said: “Paying attention to texting is important for single men as women place so much importance on it. “Texting has reached an incredible 15 million a day in the UK because it is less pressurised than a phone call, and allows people to have more control over what they say.” AGENCIES

the lonely airport road

the road to the old airport was deserted....the old airport..once the hub of activity in the city was all quiet...just like an graveyard...lost and forgotten....the new airport was now the upcoming part of the city...build to perfection..nearing almost all international standards...it was the pride of the city...

the pride of the old airport was almost fading away with no one walking the roads that led to the arrival and departure terminals...but in all this...it was one of the quietest place just a step away from the shimmering main road...a nice place to go and walk in the morning and evening...a nice place to sit in the green lawns and just get lost in your thoughts...a nice place to walk hand in hand with your loved ones.....

unlike his daily routine...today he came for the jogging a bit early...probably about 30mins early....the road was deserted...with just a few people lazing around here n there in the lawns surrounding the road...he started with the brisk walk....he walked the first lap pretty fast...he knew soon he would have to start the jogging....so on the second lap he started jogging....halfway through the lap he saw a girl also there doing a brisk walk...he could just see her from the corner of the eye as he had almost crossed her by the time he had noticed her....at the half way mark he turned around to see who she was.....so he jogged down slowly to catch a glimpse...but she was walking on the other side of the road....so he jogged faster to complete this lap and catch her on the next lap....

this time he slowed down his pace....he planned to cross her when she was under the street light so that he could get a good look at her....as he neared her...he saw her...she was just amazing...her hair..which was open...shinning black under the soft light of the neon light...kept coming in front of her face..but didnt bother her..as she neared the streetlight ...he saw her face...so soft and cute...and yet so simple...a bead of sweat just went down from her forehead as they crossed each other....he looked back....she just kept walking....he sped up...completed the lap and turned back again so that he could get a look at her again...

he turned and slowed down...this time he jogged back on the same side of the road...she had already started her walk back after completing her lap...he slowly jogged towards her so that the timing would be perfect when they cross each other under the street light..as they neared each other...she looked up...he was already looking at her..while jogging at his slowest...she saw him looking at her...he was taken aback...so he tried to look away...but then he saw her smile...and he looked at her again...she was smiling as she crossed him...he smiled back and kept jogging...

he sped up...he was smiling...he was happy...maybe he could see her smile again...he completed the lap and turned back....she hadnt turned back...she kept walking and turned into the colony gate...he saw her turn...he looked down..but he knew he had to complete the lap...so he slowly jogged to the end of the lonely road...as soon as he reached there...he took a deep breath and then when he turned...what he saw..made him smile...she was standing at the gate..she smiled...he was short of breath after the jogs..but managed to smile back...she turned and walked back home with a small dance step...he smiled and started walking back home...he knew he would see her tomorrow again...atleast he was hoping and praying he would....

the lonely airport road...wasnt lonely anymore :)

this is a pure piece of fiction

next day i flew back to hyderabad aboard a Jet airways flight...and it was pretty interesting toward the end of the flight...i was on the last seat of the flight and when it landed, all the passengers had to deplane from the aero bridge in the front, the airhostesses standing at the rear exit started bitching about some other airhostess and it was pretty loud....all passengers in the last row could hear what was going on and it was pretty funny...as i thought i would be the last to deplane..i would tell the air hostess to be a little discreet about the bitching :D..but then the rear exit was opened up and my plan went awry..lol...

once back in Hyderabad, my colleague told me that we were going to Tirupati the same evening for conducting interviews the next day...so at 6pm i was in a train to Tirupati.. The train reached at 7am next day...and me and my colleague checked into the hotel...and rested for a while before the process started...the interview process was for sales executives and there was quite a crowd wanting to apply...so by 11 the process started..and for the first time in my life i was conducting gds and interviews for people..i mean more often than not i was the participant till date..so it was kinda weird..but good weird...we finished the interviews by 2.30pm..went back to the hotel...and relaxed for a while...the train back to Hyderabad was at 6pm...

reached back hyderabad at 7am today...went to the Guest house...slept for an hour and now i am back at work and blogging...lol

hope u all enjoying urself..cheers!!

a fictious encounter??

He was walking back to his home after spending about half n hour in the internet cafe that is about 1 km away from his home...It was 10pm..and the markets in the vicinity had almost shut down..except for the tea shop/bakery on the main road..it all seemed so dead and lonely...so very different from 9.30pm when it was abuzz with life....the old airport opposite the road was also almost as dead as a graveyard is but just a little more green..

he had just reached infront of the tea shop, that he felt a tug on his shirt...he stopped and thought..what the hell..and looked back..there was a little boy of about 6-7 yrs in age, with a look of innocence and a sparkle in his eyes...and the kid then said.."Please buy me some food for my little bro there"...he looked up in the direction the kid was pointing at...a lady with an infant in her arms was standing there...she wanted to say something..but she couldnt...the infant was crying..and she was trying to rock the infant so that it should stop crying....the kid then said.."we came here from a small city and we have been betrayed and stranded here..all our money is gone and my little bro is hungry...please dont give me money but do buy some food for him"...

he looked up again...at the lady holding the infant...her eyes were pleading and she was hoping that someone would help them out...he was confused...whether he should give money...would it be the right thing to do or not...whether they would buy food or not...he was lost in his thoughts for a moment....."please...help us..."...the kid said it again....

He knew what he had to do..probably it was the right thing to do at that point of time....so he dived in his wallet and saw what he had...there was one Rs 500 note and a Rs 20 note.....he wished he had a Rs 50 to give to the kid...but then he took out the Rs 20 and gave it to the kid...and saw the kid run to the tea shop to buy something...he looked up and saw the lady smiling...still trying to soothe the infant....

and then he said to himself..."tomorrow should be a better day for them...amen"

food for thought??

Do blog friends have to remain restricted to just blogs or some online messenger??

what does it take for them to use other means of communication??

i have been blogging for a yr now...and i have made some real good friends...some whom i even met up with..n also talk over on the phone...but then its been a real tough task to get talking to some blog friends with whom i ld like to talk more often..and considering that i dont get to be online often...and the frequency of being online is reduced due to the nature of the job i have...which is not a desk job..but a field job... talking over the blog and gtalk is still a little restricting....

anyways hope you are having a good time...

cheers!!

the first firing...

yesterday was the first time that i had to fire someone, he was a sales executive from the sales team..a good person.but a lil wayward..and they were good enough reasons for me to take that action i believ...but thats besides the point...

it was the first time i was firing anyone...and trust me..it really took some effort to walk by without paying attention to the executives pleading face...the entire evening i was feeling weird..n a lil doubtfull whether it was the right decision or not...but then my team has supported me so far..n i think the feeling has started to subside....

i hope i dont ve to fire people often...

hope you all are having a good time..n enjoying yourself...

tc...cheers!!

good ad time

in the times of betrayal, extra - marital affairs, murders and suicides hogging the lime light on the news and the various other channels...what does the viewer get to see that makes him/her smile??

the stand up comedians from the previous years laughter challenge shows have also become too monotonous and mundane to watch...the music channels have now become a part of the reality show league with some girls pretending to be hot n chic just trying to gain some camera space...

so again it comes to whats there to watch that makes you smile...and bingo..the ad makers come into the picture...recently a string of ads have come on screen that highlight the notion of bringing a smile to the viewers face....that love and concept of family/friendship still exist...something that was getting lost in all the sensationalized news channels....

so here are few ads that i have found to be really amazing....

1) Airtel ad 1

2) Airtel ad 2

3) Vodafone ad

4) Maruti Suzuki ad 1

5) Maruti Suzuki ad 2

hope u guys like them...do let me know

goa trip "brief"

back from goa...and it was really an amazing trip...never thought that i would have had so much fun on a official trip...and heres a "brief" account of the same...

Day 1

the way to goa was from bangalore for me...my boss had booked us on Kingfisher flight to Bangalore first and then from there we had a flight to Goa, in between we had a halt at the Bangalore airport for about 4 hours...the entire south zone team was also suppose to meet at the bangalore airport..and trust me...hyderabad airport is way better than the bangalore one in terms of design and layout :)..with my boss having done more than 200 flights he is a gold club member for Kingfisher and Jet...so i had gotten to be in the airport lounge with him rather than be in the waiting area :D

so after being at the airport for 4 hours and chit chatting around with managers who were about 5-10 yrs more experienced than i was..it was looking like a fun thing...took a Jet flight to goa and landed there at 3.30 in the afternoon...the airport there is a naval base , so saw a lot of naval planes there..which was fun for me :D...for the first night we checked in to a company nominated hotel and well just because we were suppose to be there for one night...the team decided to stay there....in the evening..we had drinks and snacks and just gossiped and chit chatting..it was fun to see the managers pulling each others legs like kids :D..after that the RSM called everyone for a meeting to discuss the POA for the meet ahead from 12th..after that...we all went out for diner at Martin's Corner in Madgaon...it wasnt expensive..but the food was good...nice fish and prawn stuff there...had tequila shots too with the other managers..after that the team went on to see Sarkar Raj at a theatre called Osia there....by the time we came back it was past midnight...just hit the bed and slept off....

Day 2

got up 9am and went for breakfast at 9.30am.....we had to get ready by 11.30am as the transport for the resort was to come there...the conference was suppose to be at "Intercontinental the Grand" at Cancuna which is like the southern most part of Goa...its a 2 hr drive from Madgaon to that place...but the place was awesome...nice lush green gardens and an amazing private beach...we had a good buffet lunch there...and after that we all gathered in the conference hall...the meeting started at around 5 in the evening once all the teams had arrived..i was more of an observer as i am still undergoing the OJT stint...so i was just going through the various presentations that were held that day...at around 8pm...we all headed for a theme dinner..dressed in floral and pink goan shirts...there was unlimited booze and a dance floor was setup..one of the guys who leads the carnival parade and his troops were the special attraction for that night...it was fun to see all the other managers dance and have fun and forget all the number targets for those few hours...i also got a memento by the time dinner finished and i got back to my awesome room in the resort it was like midnight...and i just slept off...

Day 3

The day started at 9.15 with breakfast and the meeting was suppose to begin at 9.45am...first of the day was presentations by the various departments and then in the 2nd half there were presentations by all the 4 zones on the targets for the 2nd half of the year...and i was again more of an observer and learner...it all ended around 7pm..dinner and booze was to start at arnd 8 so i had about one hr...so me and another manager...we headed off to take a stroll on the beach and see the waves splash hard..it was so amazing to be there...went to the dinner hall by around 8.30...todays special show was stunts by a fire artist...well i took a video..will upload it soon :)...after that got over...again we had some drinks and got back to dancing..danced till around midnight and then went off with another manager to the small casino inside the resort to play on the jackpot machines...so we played a few games and ended up being on the neutral side... :D..went back to the room arnd 1.30 and just slept off....

Day 4

Got up at 9am..and headed for a 30 minute free massage at the resort...it was good and pretty relaxing...it was the first time i gotta massage done...on the way back to the room i met sunny deol who was there in the resort too and we exchanged hi's....we had a brunch lined up at around noon and it was with champagne..which again was amazing...had amazing food there....our flight back was via mumbai...so we headed off to the airport at around 1pm...the flight was at 4.15pm...we reached the airport around 3 and sat in the lounge...sunny deol was also there...one of my managers wanted a photo with him..so i was given the task of talkin to sunny and getting the photo clicked...and i did it with ease...finally we boarded the flight to mumbai and landed there around 6..the flight to hyderabad was at 7.30pm...and so me and my boss sat in the airport lounge there...boarded the flight at 7.30 and reached hyderabad at 9pm....by the time i got back to the guest house it was 10.30pm...

so this was the short brief :D...hope u enjoyed it :)

suggestions/initiatives required :)

ok...this post is not about me or my life(personal or professional per say)....its about my bro...he is going through a tough phase in his life..so lets see if u girls can help him out...

my bro is 22...he is working with Ericsson in Gurgaon as a Network engineer...he did his engineering from amity noida. Most of his friends are either outside Delhi or working at distant locations in delhi...

okie..coming to the "problem" that he is facing...he and two of his other friends....were kind of a good group there at ericsson..the group was he, a girl and another guy...they were all in the same team...all of them were really good friends...but according to my bro..the other guy was a lil weaker emotionally/personality wise so the girl kinda doted on him more...where my bro is the more sophisticated kinds...but newaz things were going on good between them....and my bro kinda liked the girl....and he wanted to ask her out sometime in the next few days..but then one fine day...she and the other guy went out with the friends of the other guy...

and after that she avoided being with my bro...she was spending more time with the other guy and his friends..after a while all this started getting to my bro and he started coming back home a little depressed...and it showed on his face...something which was visible to the folks...and they felt bad to see him all depressed and irritated at home..they told me to speak to him and find out whats wrong....so i spoke to him and i told me the details that i have just mentioned above....and he told me that he feels bad that he has lost out to someone who is inferior to him in personality, talent n all n all....he says probably he is too competitive that it is taking him so long for letting go of her...

its been like 3- 4 months since all this happened...and this thing is still getting to him daily...well i dont knw what to tell him...he goes to work and comes back home...and he doesnt even have anyone to talk to so often as almost all of his friends are dispersed around the country...and that makes the situation a little more bleak....

anyways so what i was looking for is some thoughts/suggestions/initiatives(from girls)...to find a way out of this situation for him....

so lets hear it out :)

Hyderabadi facts and observations :)

some interesting facts about hyderabad....

1) Girls here shy away from maintaining eye contact....usually if a girl is catches the eye of the guy...the guy generally gives a look back at her and more often than not the eye contact is made...this is something i really enjoy doing n its been fun so far in Delhi, gurgaon, mumbai and pune...the girls there match ur gaze..but not in hyderabad....dont knw why!!

2) The girls who do make eye contact (trust me its a killer eye contact) are the ones who are dressed up from head to toe in a burqa/hijab....the eyes are the only part thats visible.... :D

3) People in Hyderabad have no traffic sense....everyone drives from everywhere to anywhere...

4) Car/Bike makers can reduce the cost of the vehicle by manufacturing vehicles without indicators for hyderabad as people dont use them here...

5) The government can spend less on the Road infrastructure as no one follows the traffic signals...

6) One can ride triples on bike almost legally here, no cop stops you.

7) The traffic cops here are a bunch of wusses, i have scolded some myself (dare do that in delhi or mumbai)...

8) The concept of anorexic females is still not so prevalent in Hyderabad which i think is good...too skiny girls look yuckky with all the bones spilling out :D

9) Today on my way to work, saw this cute looking girl driving her scooty..well she was driving in a very cute way...guess she was a little scared of the traffic...and her scooty registration number was AP10 AD 0224 (if i remember it correctly)...

hmm...well more to come soon as time goes on :)

cheers!!

how to fool someone...

A,B and C are 3 very good friends studying in the same class and say they are in high school/class 11th...round about 16 years of age..the age when the adrenaline starts to pump in and you are ever willing to start your journey into adulthood by going to discs, pubs ,dates and what not.....

So A calls up C on one fine weekend and tells him that his elder brother is going to get him a new bike and as a part of celebrating that A is taking B and C to a disc on Sunday evening. B and C are pretty excited about the plan and are totally looking forward to it...who wouldnt hot chicks, booze and all...awesome fun yeah....

On sunday, A calls up C and tells him that the dress code for the disc that day is formals..somehow C didnt realise it was a scorching day and why should the dress code be formal...but C went along with the plan and arranged for a formal gear for the evening for himself...and by formal it was meant that it should be with a formal jacket and all....B called up C in the afternoon and told him that he needs a formal jacket for the evening and if C could arrange it then it would be great....so C went to a friends place in the afternoon to arrange for a formal jacket for B in the evening...C's folks to ask him, howcome formal attire in summer season and all..but C tells them that discs do have dress codes at time..

In the evening, A called up C to tell him to be ready by 7pm and wait at the end of the street on which C's house is and A will pick up C from there...so at 7pm C is all dressed up in formals and waiting at the end of the street, with onlookers wondering why this ass is dressed in formals on a hot sunday evening...15mins go by....20mins go by...C gets a little impatient...he walks to the nearby PCO and is about to dial A's number when he sees his dad walking along the road and smiling...and then C realises that he had been taken for a ride...it was 1st April...C smiled and then he and his dad walked back home where his entire family had a good laugh.... A and B called up to congratulate C for successfully becoming the fool on April Fools Day.....all C could do was smile at himself :D

Hope u guys enjoyed that....and now the cast

A & B - Two of the best friends of C till date
C- Your's truely

how the journey started

i have already written a post on the daring and stupid stuff i did once...

well this is a prequel to that and this is how my journey down the daring and stupidity acts started....

i am not going to write about the background...but go on to the event or rather the daring and stupid act...

i had to go meet this girl...who lived in a place called nawanshahar in punjab, it lies between chandigarh and jallandhar...i had then just entered my 2nd yr of engineering and was just about 19 yrs old...i was based in pune...and it wasnt the easiest of plans to execute...there was a mass bunk in my college...and everyone came home for a week or so...midway during the week i decided to go meet her...so...the night before i had to leave...i took into confidence one of my best friends since school for this act...i told my folks that his cousin was studying in chandigarh and he had to go met him..so he wanted me to come along...he told his folks that i had a wedding to attend in chandigarh and as i had come late from pune...my folks had left for the wedding and he was to come along with me...im sure both our folks must have smelled a rat in the plan...lol...

i told the girl that i m coming to chandigarh to meet her and that she should come there...chandigarh was like an hour away from nawanshahar...she said she would try..i said im definitely gonna come there and wait for her (as i said...one of the stupid acts people sometimes do :D)...

so the next day my friend came to pick me up at 5.30 am on his bike...we reached the railway station at about 6am...checked out the train...it was 6.15am...ran to get the tickets and made it just in time to board the running train...wooof....tht was fun....

we reached chandigarh at around 10am...and from there we went to the sec 17 market..i called her up...and asked her where she was....she said...she wouldnt be able to come as her brother was having an operation on that day....well it was strange..felt weird...a little heart breaking...i then thought that i would go to nawanshahar n meet her there....so i headed off to the bus terminal...by the time i got there it was like 11.30am...i was told that the bus would take about 1 n half to 2 hrs to get there...and since the plan was to return the same night...the train back to delhi was at 5pm...so to go to nawanshahar n the head back to chandigarh by 4.30 or so was not feasible..i would ve missed the train back to delhi and i couldnt do that as the plot behind the plan would have been revealed then....

so i just roamed around in chandigarh that day...my friend who accompanied me...had a great time by having a date with a girl whom he knew from school as she was based in chandigarh then...anyways the entire experience sucked as i couldnt met her but i got to learn some valuable lessons in life and i still value them....

finally we made it back to the station at 4.45pm...took the train back to delhi....the train got late in the way and by the time I reached home it was 10.45pm....my friends mom had called up my home to enquire if we were back...and she had spoken to my folks...thankfully she didnt tell my folks the story my friend had cooked up or else we both would ve been in big trouble :D....

so this is how i started my journey of daring and stupid acts :D

hope u guys enjoy reading it :)..lemme knw your views about it :)

some great quotes

this post is dedicated to some of the most amazing sayings i have heard...

so here it goes...

1) this is my all time favorite..." Its god's duty to punish militants...It is our duty to arrange a meeting between god and militants - The Indian Army"

2) from Rocky Balboa.... "the world aint it all sunshine and rainbows...its a very mean and nasty place..and no matter how tough u are..it will keep you under its knees forever if you let it.....u, me or nobody are gonna hit as hard as life..but it aint about how hard u hit..its about how hard u can get hit and keep moving forward...how much u can take and keep moving forward...that is how winning is done..now if u knw what u are worth..then go out n get it...but u must be willing to take the hits...that is how winning is done!!!"

3) from We are Marshall .."it doesnt matter if we win or if we loose..it is not even about how we play the game..what matters is that we play the game...we take the field...we suit up on saturdays...that we keep this program alive..we play the game...not today..not tomorrow..not this season..not the next one...one day...u n i are gonna wake up and suddenly we will be like everyother team in everyother sport..where winning is everything..and nothing else matters..and when that day comes ...thats wen we will honour them."

4) from shantaram.."The truth is that there are no good men, or bad men,' he said, 'It is the deeds that have goodness or badness in them. There are good deeds and there are bad deeds. Men are just men--it is what they do, or refuse to do, that links them to good or evil. The truth is that an instant of real love, in the heart of anyone--the noblest of man alive or the most wicked--has the whole purpose and process and meaning of life within the lotus-folds of its passion. The truth is that we are all, every one of us, every atom, every galaxy, and every particle of matter in the universe, moving toward God"

5) another one from shantaram..when we fall in love with someone our greatest fear is that they wont love us back, what we should fear instead is that we wont stop loving them.. "

Well there are alot of them from Shantaram...hope u like them

cheerS!!

biryani time

well its been sometime since u guys heard from me right?? job has been going on great...enjoying working with the sales team here...good folks..very helpful...hyderabad is a good city to be in....

coming to the main highlights of this post...i tried biryani at two of the famous places here...ie hyderabad house and Paradise...and Paradise wins hands down...amazing biryani...good quality of rice...nice flavor to the rice...and awesome chicken pieces in the biryani...simply yumm!!!...and the most amazing thing about Paradise is that ...as you go up the restaurants..the price of the same biryani keeps increasing...for eg..chicken biryani on first floor is Rs 90, then on 2nd floor with an AC restaurant its like 120 or something...and on the roof top restaurant its 150 if i am correct... :D..went there with my friend yesterday .. before that i was at Hyderabad central...and some French festival has been organized there..with wine and cheese and other french stuff maintaining the theme...it was very crowded...and somehow the sad part was the i couldnt find even a single girl to maintain a decent eye contact with...girls here dont maintain eye contact...this is something i have enjoyed alot in Delhi and Pune...its amazing to maintain that piercing eye contact...missed that so far in hyderabad but lets see...

btw the most amazing eye contact that i have made so far is with a few muslim gals who are clad in the burqa...with them the entire conversation is just with the eyes...its good..but fun :)

went to eat street on saturday night with a bunch of college friends who are here working with Deloitte...good place to have food on the banks of the Hussain Sagar lake...had a good sandwich at Subway and some delicious chilly chicken :D ..this is the only place which doesnt stink surprisingly...it was good to spend some time with frnds...i came back at 11pm only :D..

Hoping to visit 10 Downing street and Bottles & Chimneys this week/weekend if some plan comes up...btw they both are pubs :)....also i screwed up Vodafone AP this weekend for their pathetic services ...shot off mails to the COO of Vodafone AP.. If you want to read those mails...do let me know.. i will forward them to you...

well thats from my side...hope you all are rocking and having a good time :)

cheers!!

hyderabad updates :D

Hyderabad updates...well im now in the city famous for its Biryani and the Hussain Sagar Lake...been good so far...

before i go any further i would like to start off with my review of the flight...something i do usually as a routine...this time around the company booked me on a kingfisher flight to hyderabad from delhi...and it was pretty good..i mean..good crowd...awesome airhostesses...and good food...so now let me get to the point straight away...the airhostesses...

for economy class there were quite a few airhostesses...i remember Ms E, Ms S, Ms M...so my review will rotate around these 3...as soon as i entered the flight IT 0804..i was greeted by a tall and lanky Ms E...and wow she was tall...and she had been tutored so very well in her mannerisms that it was so loud..and it seemed almost so fake...lol...but in the end it was very professional..she was tall..decently good looking...but big hands for the kind of figure she had...on a scale of 10 i would give her 8.5

Ms M was assisting Ms E through most of the work in the economy section...she was cool, pretty good looking but not as tall as Ms E..she was very professional and she didn't seem to be faking it at all...most of the times...on a scale of 10...i gues 8.75 would do for her :D

Ms S well she was all natural...cute...like the girl next door...not loud at all...very subtle...she seemed to be new...so she looked a little nervous..but that helped her in being her...i mean she hadnt mastered the art of faking in front of the passengers so far...she spoke well and she had a nice smile...in looks she wasn't the greatest but she was very cute...and on a scale of 10...i would give her 9 for her originality...

so this was my flight review :D

************************************************************************************

my stint in Hyderabad has been good so far..the guest house is close to the office...atleast people here speak Hindi...i dont feel out of place here...waiting to go taste some delicious hyderabadi biryani soon.. :D...i hope i get the wifi data access cards from the office soon...then i can be online from my laptop :)

okie..gtg now..

@@@ BTW guys my blogroll isnt showing up..please leave ur blog links in the comments.

thanks and cheers!!

some news...

well its been a long time since u last saw a post here eh?? i have some news to share with u...

On 8th May 2008, my nanaji (maternal grand father) expired and left for heavenly abode..i was in chennai...he wasnt keeping well for sometime...i was aware that his condition was not too good that day..so dad n bro had to rush back from work in the morning itself..i wanted an update on his condition in the afternoon..so i called up around 2pm in the day and my mom picked up the phone and she was crying...so i knew what happened..dad told me that it had just happened as i was calling up...somehow i just finished my lunch..as it was already ordered by my colleagues.....

spoke to my HR person..requested for leave for a few days and came back home that night...i couldnt make it for the cremation in the evening...as no flight was available that would have gotten me home by that time..i reached home late at night...and spent some time with mom and nani (maternal grandma)...consoled them....no one could sleep well that night..the hardest hit by that is my nani..looking after him was one of the most important tasks for her life...there will be a huge void for her now...

next day..i went for completing all the ceremonies..like collecting the ashes after the cremation...and then submerging them in the Yamuna (the river)...it was all pretty emotional....but one thing that was good was that it was a peaceful end...he lived a great life...very successful..very lively..very energetic... for all of us in my family...we know that "HE CAME..HE SAW and HE CONQUERED"....

we had kept a paath (recital of the Guru Granth Sahib)...for the well being of his soul on friday and it concluded today (it takes 2 full days to read the entire Guru Granth Sahib)...with the langar (community meal)..

May his soul rest in peace...AMEN!!

@i have to head back to my job tonight..will be going to Hyderabad...lets see how things turn up there..

cya guys soon!!

The train journey..a short story

The train was about to leave the platform, it was on time at 3pm. The engine horn had been blown and everyone was scampering to board the train at the last moment. He was standing next to the door, on the platform, walking along with the train as it slowly gained speed, the walk became a jog, the platform was nearing and end and he finally boarded the train as the platform ended. He smiled to himself, his folks had told him not to do this again, but then it was fun, a little adventure, a bit stupid but it made him happy and smile.

He went inside the AC Coach to check on his belongings. He was in the first compartment in the coach. As he was putting his luggage down in the space below the lowest berth, his eye caught hold of something, something was sparkling, he looked up to see and saw a dangler was shining from a face, a pretty face who was trying to get up to her side upper berth 2 compartments away from him. He kept looking, and he was smiling inside at the efforts being put in by that pretty girl to get up to her berth and finally she got up there, mumbled something and smiled. It was a magical moment, she was smiling at herself and it was such a pretty site.

The train was now travelling at full speed, it was a 26 hour journey to his destination or rather his getting off point. He went back to stand at the door of the train, whilst leaning out a bit as the train passed through lush green farms of various crops. He felt the strong wind hitting his face but it didnt matter, all he was thinking off, was the smile of the girl inside the coach. He went back to see what she was doing aand found her deeply engrossed in a novel, so he just sat on the berth and kept looking at her from the corner of his eye. Time flew by and he didnt even realize it, it had been 2 hours, she had slept off in the warmth of the quilt. Finally he sighed and said, "god she is beautiful" and started to read the magzine he had bought. Soon it was dinner time, he took out the homemade food his mom had made for him and opened up the packets of cottage cheese and roti (indian bread). He looked at her, she had just woken up. Her hair was all tumbled up and then she made a face like a little girl who had just woken up from a dream and was confused. She was staring at nothing, finally she climbed down from the berth and went to wash her face. The food was still lying open in front of him, he hadnt eaten a bite in the last 10minutes. He thought, he will talk to her, but he didnt know how to do that, she was travelling alone and they werent even in the same compartment. How could he just go up to her and talk, what would she think, what would the other passengers say, had they been in the same compartment things could have been distant, but this was too different for him. So he decided to see think about it next day, he had seen the chart of the coach and knew that she would be getting down at the same station as his. So he watched her have her food and then get totally lost into the novel she was reading. He went out , to have a breath of fresh air as the cold air of the night gushed in through the door he was standing at. When he came back, she had slept off, he to decided to hit the rack.

He was woken up by the constant stirring in his compartment, kids were howling, a new family had just boarded the train, the previous passengers had gotten off. He looked at his watch. It was almost noon, he had slept for about 12 full hours, "damn he must have been tired", he thought to himself. He got up from his berth and stuck out his head to see if she was there on her berth. She was there, still cuddled up in the quilt which was now covering her up to her waist, reading the novel, which she had almost finished from the looks of it. He thought how to go up and talk to her. Mustering up that much courage and that too in a train, where co passengers could easily mis judge his intentions, he kept wondering. He thought he would use the help of the conceirge or the coach assistant to deliver a note to her, but then he didn't know what to write. He was surprised at the loss of words he had at that instant. He got up and went to the familiar territory, the door, where he was there all alone with just the countryside and the wind blowing into his face. He felt like he was at home when he was there at the door of the coach.

Time went by and now they were nearing the station they both had to get down at. He was still thinking on the note idea but now the coach assistant was no where to be seen, probably he was there with the other coach assistants sitting somewhere and playing cards. Finally the train reached the station, she got down, he got down and then he decided to go say hi to her. He pulled out his luggage and turned around and there she was hugging this guy. The took hold of her luggage and they walked off, he didnt know who the guy was, how they both were related but it didn't matter to him. His journey was good, the pretty and smiling face of the girl had made it a pleasant journey, he lifted his luggage on to his shoulders, damn it was heavy, he started walking to get a cab to his college, and all he was doing was smiling whilst remembering her smile.

well well well.....been four days since i updated the blog...n get to check my mails after long long gaps..which at times can run into more than 12hrs or so..... :D

so the story so far...left delhi on 24th evening..the flight took off an hr n half late....stupid congestion at the airports now...anyways..so the spicejet flight SG 119 was good....the airhostess were not too great but there was one Ms S who was pretty cute and good to talk to..and she had a nice smile....
reached mumbai arnd 9.45pm..and came straight to the guest house of the company...had a good diner...met up a friend from my institute who joined HUL along with me..

The next day, had to report to the Head Office at 9am, so got up at 6.30am...took my bath..got ready...and left for the station at 7.45am to catch the fast local to churchgate...got one at 7.59am from andheri station...and reached office at around 8.50am....met the person we were supposed to meet at 9.15am...finished up the formalities, got the company laptop, I Card and the visiting cards with my name :D....spent some time filling the forms and then headed for lunch..there were different types of lunches in the office...one for people who are dieting too..lol......got free from office at 3pm...and now i have to report to someone who sits in the HUL office in the Intercontinental Grand Hotel in mumbai on monday...

was getting pretty bored in the evening...no one was there...so i called an old engineering friend of mine and went off with him to roam around mumbai abit...went to bandstand with him...saw that area for the first time...also saw the bunglow of Shahrukh Khan from its gate..looks pretty good...walked around the entire length of the pavement at bandstand..it was better than sitting in the guest house n getting bored...lol...but it was fun....there must ve been abt 100+ couples getting comfortable there on the sidewalk...was pretty funny to see all that...lol...after that came back to andheri..had diner with my friend at a restaurant here.....came back at around 11.30pm...wanted to go browse but there are no interent cafe's in the vicinity...so came back to my room..watched FRIENDS for sometime and then dozed off....

it was the weekend now...got up a little late...had breakfast..and then discovered that i could access the net using the phone line here via dial up..and also discovered that it is bugging slow to use that net..but thats the only option i had and i still have.....then decided to call up my friends in pune...and fixed up the plan to go there....took a volvo bus in the evening and landed up in pune by around 8.30pm..met a friend and his wife...had diner with them...then went to watch a movie with another friend...and finally crash landed at a friends place at 2am...talked for a while n then dozed off...got up around 10...had breakfast and roamed around pune for a while...damn the city feels like home to me...it is a second home to me...mumbai feels like strange land...feel totally lost in mumbai...the day went by quickly and in the evening took a volvo back to mumbai...reached mumbai arnd 10.30pm...had diner...and then logged on the bugging dial up connection to check the blog and post out here...

its 12.30 in the night now...will check all the blogs tomorrow as and when i can manage too...so please bear with me...hope you all are having a good time and enjoying yourself...

many fold post.....

2 weeks at home...and time flies by...lol...well came back home for 2 weeks...after a stint of 7 years outside delhi (4 yrs engg in pune + 1 yr work with HSBC in pune + 2 yr mba in trichy)....n now my joining date has come as 25th April and i have to report to my company's ie Hindustan Unilever Ltd( formerly HLL [ Unilever India] ) office in mumbai on 25th April...

will be joining as a manager in the sales and marketing division and i still dont know where they will give the final posting after the orientation training is over in Mumbai...so i get a few days in Mumbai...may go to Pune over the weekend if i have the time...n i seriously dont knw if i would be able to meet "my friend" (refer the previous post)...once i get there...as of now i dont intend to meet her....

anyways coming back to the post...the last 2 weeks have been amazing..well it didnt start off so good with me coming back to see Dad in the hospital...but all is well..he got discharged next day..all tests cleared..and now hes fit n fine..back to work n life as usual... :)...meet up with a lot of friends this time around..which is good...met up with my best friends from school on my birthday...had a good time with them..n thanks guyz for making my bday so much fun...had a family get together at home that night..n it was good to be with all my relatives n cousins after so long...

went to watch the IPL match between Delhi Daredevils and Rajasthan Royals...had free passes :D...but seriously i enjoy watching the match on the TV rather than a stadium...unless you are at behind the sidescreen there is no point sitting in the stands on the square boundaries...it is just someone batting...someone bowling and someone fielding then..lol..but still had a good time with my friends there :)

saw Krazzy 4...absolutely crap...i mean dont see it unless u get to see it on TV for free :D...went to Near East at priyas n met another group of school friends after about 4-5 years ...it was good to spend time there...n Near East has good food...meanwhile my folks had organized a "paath" at a gurudwara nearby..now for the international audience "paath" is the recital of the Guru Granth Sahib over a period of 3 days..(Guru Granth Sahib for Sikhs is like the Bible for Christians or the Geeta for Hindus or the Qoran for Muslims)...so that was good...and finally it concluded with Langar on Sunday (langar is community meal served at the Gurudwara where everyone eats without any bias of any sort)...

well this was till Sunday...then Monday i was busy with getting dad's bank work done and getting his car repaired....been lazing around also at home for the last 2 days..as its getting very hot in delhi now...feels like home :D

tonight i might go for diner with my family to Le Meridian..lets see if that works out.. i hope the food there is good n worth it :) and tomorrow evening i fly off to Mumbai to join the big bad corporate world once again...

yet another short story

It was a rainy august afternoon in 2005...he had just completed his engineering a few months back...and today was the big day...he was going to start working...he had been selected by this decently good IT company frm campus..n it was a good job..he entered the awesome office..it was amazing...the glas structure was so majestic...he went to the room where another 100 more people who were going to join with him were sitting...waiting for the formalities to be completed...she was also there...with her friends...chit chatting..laughing and enjoying herself...

The training period was for 2 months...and was conducted at another site...slowly as time passed by..he got to know her better and they became good frnds...training finished n they were very good friends by then...she was having a rough time in her already on relationship..and the friendship became stronger as time passed by...after a few months...she started seeing another guy at work..whom everyone else kinda hated in the offce...even he hated the bf...never had liked him anyways...that changed alot of things...friends became less prioritized and distances increased...she was just with the bf mostly...but then she was happy n he was happy for her..but they argued a lot...fought alot....over she not spending more time with her frnds and just ignoring them completely...

a few more months passed and he left the company to do his MBA...the contact/communication between them remained to social networking sites...emails etc..but ntn more...and then after a few months...she was sent onsite on a project for 3 months...the relationship was over as both their families didnt see it working out...n the bf got married to someone else..then...she n her frnd...got back talking again...they both were happy...she was in Canada..he was in India...but they were chatting often...and during the course of time...they started flirting a lil...things were good...n then they met up again in June when she had come back n he had gone to the same old city for a few days after the end of first yr....by now her parents were getting after her life to get married...so the proposals had started coming in....he n her talked abt it...he had changed alot to accomodate anything and everything she said..so that she was happy....

the company sent her onsite again for a few months...she had decided to give GMAT by then...and was already preparing...so she gave her exam..gotta good score..and after the onsite project tenure got over..she came back to India...things were hotting up on the family side to get her married...25 n still single...elder daughter...she had to get married soon....January 2008 till march 2008...the heat was on..everyother weekend prospective grooms came n went by..but she didnt like anyone...there was ntn in common....she and he talked...flirted all this while...he soaked up all her tantrums...was there for her to let her speak out..n get all the frustation out of her...then things started to cool down...the MBA admissions in US universities came through...the stress was now on finalizing the loans for the fees for 2 years...

she was less stressed now...she n him were back to talking..back to the flirting part again...things were good...n then..one fine night...just before he was about to finish his MBA...she asked him to come to the city..she wanted to talk..face to face...she wanted to know what was in his heart...did he want to say anything or not....that night the talk got extended..n he told her everything..he told her he found her attractive...n was maybe kinda attracted towards her...but it wasnt huge or big...she told him she had been on a couple of dates with someother guy ...but it wasnt serious as she was going to leave in 2 months for US...n he was like ok...she said...we ll talk face to face n then see....

its been 10 odd days since then..he finished his MBA..came back home..n she was hell busy with her work...thats what she said...didnt take calls..and all....and today on chat..when he tells her that he may not be able to visit her this time around...she tells him...she has a boyfriend...things have progressed and blah blah blah....and he was like...lol...wow..only he knew that this was enough...he had decided...no more talking to her...he realized that some friendships arent forever...sometimes u ve to even let go of friends and move on....and with that thought in mind...he deleted her number from his cell...even though its there on his fingertips... :D..he did the right thing..didnt he??
