The Kite Runner

i just finished reading this book "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini...n i just wish that why didnt i read this book before....

i wont give out the story or characters of the book here...bcos i would like to see people who havent read this book to read it once....but i ll talk about the context...

ever in ur life..wondered...if u cud go back in time n do something that u didnt do bcos u acted cowardly???....the same thing that haunts u till date....the same thing that shows its face wenever u close ur eyes...the same thing that is a part of ur life...and u still think if i could do anything even today that would help to ease n let go of those cowardly memories???something courageous that u could do, that would clear your own conscience....

well thats what "The Kite Runner" is all about...i just saw that a movie has been made on it...probably the next movie that i am gonna download....lol...but seriously...a book worth reading...makes u laugh...wonder...dream...cry...be human...be courageous...be a warrior...be a fighter :)

you know, being a fighter is what life is about. Everyone in this life is fighting their own battle and sometimes we act the way that we regret in future. But going back in time and do it a different way is not exactly what i would do. These situations are there to teach us for future, to give us experience, they influence our life and make us what we are. But if we once change them, nobody knows what we would become, because life line would go differently. But then once you learned that you might have acted differently, next time you will do it. Thats it what it is about, right?
Thats why i live my life with no regrets, what done is done, it is only another milestone on my way to be a better person :)
On my way to win this battle ;)

i remember when i read kite runner.. i couldnt get it out of my head for days.. makes you think about so many things...about how easy my life has been so far and how i have never really been faced with such tough situations

but then again, arent even our small battles our great ones..and our worst decisions are made when we dont realise how much they will affect our future

sure i wish i could change somethings.. fix things in the past.. but just like the protagonist in this book... you cant really ever fix something completely can you?

#aparna..well...how often have we fought n made those wrong decisions..when at work....abt sometimes that cant b fixed completely...both of us knw better :)..lol keep posting

in the chill of the night...
i feel as if im going to crumble without a fight...
far away i see the dawn break away...
basking everyone in its way with all its might...
and i say to myself, fighters always fight...

@annie...we all think we are weak till we start seeing our strengths...strengths that ve been inherent in us...strengths that ve helped us grow from childhood to adulthood..jus need to look for them...n voila...u ll see a difference :)

I read the book. the theme is lovely! So is the treatment.A wonderful and thought-provoking read...but I found it a tad bit melodramatic at places.
Thank you for commenting on my blog.
